Five podium positions for SSC Members!

Around 20 SSC swimmers, drawn from across all of our squads and from 8–15 years old, enjoyed the sunshine and some fierce but enjoyable competition, in this well run, high profile event held at Tonbridge School on Sunday.

Distances varied depending on the age group, but all competitors were timed over a continual swim/transition/run. The youngest age group swam 50m and then ran for 600m with the oldest competitors swimming 300m and running 3,000m.

Our swimmers achieved some phenomenal results! For many of the SSC contingent this was their first taste of this demanding dual sport event. Often the results are even better than they initially appear, as our swimmers were often competing against established specialist multi sport competitors and some of the categories spanned a two year age range.

Nathan Marsh Club: SSC/7 Oaks Tri Club Category: Male 15 years Position: 1st
Chloe Rouse Club: SSC Category: Female 15 years Position: 1st

Kiri Marsh Club: SSC Category Female 13-14 years Position: 3rd

Jade Coatsworth Club: SSC Category: Female 11-12 years Position: 1st
Holly Thompson-Frost Club: SSC Category: Female 11-12 years Position: 3rd

Ewan Livingstone: 2nd in the 9-10year age group.

All SSC swimmers achieved excellent performances and some very creditable times, in many cases just outside of the podium positions.
